Liverpool set to battle Chelsea in Uefa Super Cup in Istanbul

The Blues booked their place with a 4-1 win over Arsenal in the Europa League on Wednesday while the Reds won the uefa champions league on Saturday by beating Tottenham 2-0 in the Champions League final, booking a spot in the eufa super cup final. Liverpool who were the  last English side to win the Super Cup, back in 2005 would be looking to repeat such feat even in the iconic city if Istanbul with four of the past five have been all-Spanish affairs – with Atletico beating Real Madrid in Tallinn in 2018.
However Liverpool will also participate in this year's World Club Cup in Qatar after all, in preparation for the world Cup to be hosted in the Arabian country, though Fifa already announced it would  now be played every four-years, starting from 2022.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will be in six competitions next season. They also play in the Community Shield – against league champions Manchester City – at Wembley. A date has yet to be confirmed, but it is likely to be on 3 or 4 August.
